COMPONENTS OF ASTHMA MANAGEMENT

The successful management of Arizona Center for Chest Diseases’s patients with asthma includes four components:

• Asthma patients need routine monitoring of symptoms and lung function
• Patients need to be educated on their symptoms and their illness. Education creates a partnership between clinician and patient.
• Patients must always be aware of environmental factors. Multiple factors can contribute to asthma severity.
• At Arizona Center for Chest Diseases we understand the need for medication especially when it comes to asthma management.
